Hello Everyone!! I figured that since I had some free time this afternoon I would update the blog again because there were things I left out in the last one. First thing is first..I wanted to thank all of our Utah friends and coworkers for making our year in Utah a memorable one. Hannah and I want to thank Alpine Church for welcoming us and giving us a Church home that made us feel comfortable. The Lord is truly working at Alpine. We especially want to thank our homegroups. We want to thank the Barbers and everyone who goes the Monday group for all there support and love they have shown us. We also want to thank the Wednesday night young people homegroup for some fun times. We also want to thank our coworkers for being so great and we couldnt have asked for better schools or coworkers to work in. Again we want to thank everyone for making our year in Utah one that we will never forget and we will also miss you all.
I also want to update people on the progress of the house. I mentioned in the last entry that we have painted most of the rooms...yesterday I painted the master bath...so now we only have three more rooms...the kitchen and two other bedrooms. Some other things we have already done for the house is buy couches and coffee and end tables. We also installed a new garage door (Thanks to the help of my Father in law), also to those who are afraid to put up their own garage door...dont be it was relatively painless..they have some new gadgets out there that make it easy. We have also trimmed some bushes, cut down a dead tree and done some weeding...there is still a lot more to do outside though. Of course we are still unpacking one box at a time, but we there are a lot of boxes to go.... Hannah and I are also officially residents of the Hoosier state and Hannah's car already has Indiana plates. We also went to Church today for the second time at Sunrise CRC...I really like the music there...and we also met some some young people. There also was another new person we met who just graduated from Calvin and is going to Purdue. He is from Fresno, CA and he is related to people in Ripon and more specifically people at First CRC I believe. (Those of you who want to play dutch bingo will have to call me or send me an email ;) ).
Ok...well I think that is all for now. Thank you all again for taking an interest in Hannah and my lives and also thank you for all your support and prayers. Also, the same invite stands...we love visitors and we have a full bed for any guests.
Yay for blogs! And I'm so glad Hannah found a job! We miss you back in Utah, but I hope you are settling in and connecting with people there!
