Hello all,
I know I have not been as good of a blogger as I used too....but I just figured that our life was getting too boring to constantly be telling you about it. But there has been some exciting news of late. I was accepted to Purdue as you already know...AND I was accepted to Michigan State. I was offered an assistantship by 2 different professors at MSU, so I don't get to chose who I work with as with Purdue. I would like to ask for your prayers as Hannah and I make this decision. There are many factors to take into account and its not an easy decision. Purdue is a slightly better school, but MSU isn't too far behind. MSU has a slightly better financial package in that they pay 100% of Health Ins vs only 80% at Purdue, also MSU will cover all my extra fees where Purdue will not. I was able to "persuade" Purdue into upping my stipend after I mentioned to them that MSU was offering more. This is a tough decision, and any insight you may have would be great.Another things is that one of the research projects I would be working at MSU sounds REALLY interesting...it deals with insurance for dairy farms and its called Livestock Gross Margin Insurance and it has to deal with basically guaranteeing a margin of profit between cost of feed vs the price of milk.
I have a feeling that I will not be able to make a final decision until after my visit to MSU on the 31st. Which reminds me...Hannah and I are going to Michigan/Indiana for our spring break. We will visit MSU on the 31st and then most likely drive down to Purdue/Lafayette and visit there again and IF I know my decision we will either look at some houses in Lafayette or drive back up Lansing/Clare and spend the rest of the time enjoying our break which ends on the 5th of April. Please pray that we have a safe trip and that my decision will be made clear after visiting MSU. Thank you all for your love and prayers!! We are praying for you!!!
congratulations! I was wondering how that was all going... keep us updated! And we should chat sometime.
