Hello all,
Just thought we would update you on the happenings of the Utah Veldstra's. But most of you already know we wont be the Utah Veldstra's for much longer, but will soon be the Indiana Veldstra's. We closed on our house on Friday morning and we wanted to thank Jon for signing Hannah and my signatures and we hope his wrist heals soon. Today I sent off for our 8000 dollar tax credit, so hopefully by the time we get to Indiana we will have the check in the mail. Which reminds me that we will be moving to Indiana around the 23rd of June. Jon and Liz are coming out with the twins in Uncle Mo's RV and are swinging by to pick us up at the tail end of their vacation.
Another piece of important travel information is that Hannah and I are going to be in California on May 29 and will be staying for about a weekish. We will then be heading back to Utah but are going to take the long way back and head up to Oregon/Washington and then over the Glacier National Park and then south to Ogden. We are expecting the return trip to take another weekish. We plan on taking our time and doing a little camping.
Um...some other news...Hannah and I as of the writing of this post only have 7 and 1/2 more days of teaching and it is bittersweet. We love our jobs and we love our church here and we are going to miss the friends we have made here, but we are also excited (and nervous) about starting a new chapter of our lives in Indiana. Also, Hannah has been applying to jobs in Indiana and there have been a few openings for special ed teacher but not many. I think the big reason is Indiana has budget problems (like every other state) and the big school district in the area just laid off 150 teachers. But Hannah does have a in person interview with Sylvan Learning Center for a part time job which is better then nothing. We ask for your prayers as Hannah searches for a job and we ask that we are able to give it up to God and trust he will lead us where we need to be.
I think that is all the news I can think of for the moment, we already have someone to take all of our furniture and we have a buyer for our washer and dryer which is nice. So I only really have to deal with the annoyance of calling the gas, electric and cable companies. Thank you for reading our blog and we ask for you continued prayer as we make more major changes in our lives.
Hi Hannah! I had no idea you had a blog....It's fun to take a peek into your life. I am excited to be able to keep in touch this way. Thanks so much for the kind note you gave me yesterday. It made me feel so appreciated. I want you to know that I appreciate you too and all the things you have taught me this year. I am sad to see you go but am excited that you and your hubby get to take this adventure to Purdu! I want you to know that I think you are beautiful inside and out. Thanks for putting up with me....
